The Vision Council (TVC) has named Michael Vitale as the recipient of the 2025 Goodfellow Award, an honor recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the optical industry. Vitale—who serves as TVC’s vice president of membership, government relations, and technical affairs—was unanimously selected by his peers for the award. He will be recognized during TVC’s Lab Leadership Forum, scheduled for April 24-25 in Addison, TX.
“I believe Michael is not only well deserving of this award, but it is also an honor long overdue,” says Brandon Butler, CEO of Pacific Artisan Labs and chair of the Lab Leadership Forum program committee. “Michael has played a huge role in my career growth; I looked up to him when I was first making my way in the industry. He is widely respected throughout the optical community and is always eager to lend a helping hand.”
The Lab Leadership Forum is a two-day event designed for optical laboratory professionals, offering networking opportunities, discussions, and educational sessions. The event is open to TVC members with registration available at a special rate. Nonmembers can also participate at a separate price. Event information can be found here.
