
The Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA) held its 16th annual meeting April 9–11 in Orlando, FL, gathering approximately 900 private practice professionals, vendor partners, and industry leaders. The event featured networking opportunities, continuing education sessions, and keynote presentations centered around the theme of storytelling and practice innovation.
PECAA leadership, including president Jonathan Worrall, cofounder and chief strategy officer Lance Anderson, OD, and chief member experience officer Justin Manning, OD, MPH, FAAO, opened the meeting by discussing current trends in private practice optometry and highlighting the organization’s focus on supporting practices at all stages of development.

The event’s keynote speakers included Matthew Luhn, a director and longtime Pixar storyteller, who spoke about the role of storytelling in patient engagement and practice growth. Olympic high jumper Chaunté Lowe shared her experiences overcoming personal and professional challenges, emphasizing resilience and teamwork.
Attendees participated in educational breakout sessions covering topics such as optical sales strategies and navigating economic fluctuations. The event also featured a Partner Pavilion, where more than 60 vendor partners presented new products and services.
A charitable component of the meeting, PECAA Gives, marked its 10th year. Attendees raised more than $40,000 for Page 15, a Central Florida nonprofit organization that supports youth literacy and creative writing programs. Evening events included a member and vendor appreciation gathering at Mango’s Tropical Café, featuring live performances and cultural entertainment.
PECAA announced that its next annual meeting will take place in San Diego, May 17–19, 2026.
