Jan. 16, 2025 — Registration is now open for the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA), set to take place April 9-11 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, FL. The event will feature educational sessions, peer networking opportunities, and industry innovations presented by PECAA’s vendor partners.
“The PECAA Annual Meeting is always infused with unique aspects of the host city to make an engaging and memorable program for our members,” says PECAA president Jonathan Worrall. “Doctors and their teams who join us in Orlando will experience larger-than-life ideas that stretch the imagination and provide actionable strategies to support the success of their practice.”
The three-day meeting will emphasize storytelling as a theme, drawing on Orlando’s reputation for creativity. Attendees will explore ways to build their brand, develop strategies for their practices, and craft a vision for the future. Keynote speakers will include:
- Matthew Luhn—a veteran Pixar storyteller with credits on "The Simpsons," "Toy Story," and "Monsters Inc."—who will discuss how to use storytelling to connect with patients, lead teams, and establish a memorable brand identity.
- Chaunté Lowe—a professional high jumper, Olympian, three-time World Champion, 12-time U.S. National Champion, and cancer survivor—who will share insights on resilience and building a collaborative team culture.
The meeting will also expand opportunities for peer-to-peer discussions, allowing doctors to engage in facilitated small-group conversations on topics relevant to private practice operations. Additional highlights include a Partner Pavilion showcasing new products and services from industry vendors, clinical education sessions offering four COPE-accredited continuing education hours for doctors, business education workshops for managers and staff, and social events, including PECAA’s Member and Vendor Appreciation Event.
Continuing its tradition of community engagement, PECAA will support a local nonprofit through its PECAA Gives program. This year’s beneficiary is Page 15, a Central Florida organization focused on enhancing cultural and educational opportunities through literary arts programs.
