The United Opticians Association (UOA) and McCray Optical Supply have opened submissions for the first UOA & McCray Optical Supply Cleaning Cloth Design Contest. The nationwide competition invites US opticians and opticianry students to create the official 2026 UOA Cleaning Cloth, with entries accepted through March 14.

The contest aims to highlight creativity within the optical profession, with designs expected to reflect unity in the field. The winning artwork will be printed by McCray Optical Supply and unveiled during the UOA’s One Vision One Voice One UOA National Conference, scheduled for June 25-27 in Chicago.

A judging panel appointed by UOA and McCray Optical Supply will evaluate submissions based on creativity, originality, visual appeal, suitability for microfiber printing, and adherence to technical specifications. The winner will receive a commemorative set and have their design printed on 4,000 microfiber cloths distributed nationwide.

Entries must be original, unpublished, and created by the entrant; artwork generated entirely by artificial intelligence is not eligible. For more information, including guidelines, click here.
